State accountability ratings are based on four performance indexes: student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps, and postsecondary readiness. More than 78% of the district’s graduating students go on to college after high school. Lake Travis ISD operates one high school, two middle schools, and six elementary schools with a third middle school scheduled to open in fall 2019. There are several colleges within 20 miles of Lakeway, including the University of Texas at Austin, Saint Edward’s University, Austin Community College, and Concordia University.
