Lefty’s Pizza Kitchen

If you’re like Goldilocks when you eat pizza, because the crust can’t be too thin or too thick – it needs to be just right, Lefty’s is where you need to be. They offer a wide variety of pizzas from thin crust to pan pizza, including Chicago cut (Da Bears!). Craig O’s Pizza & Pastaria

I think all of the long-time Lakeway-ers can agree, Craig O’s is still a top pick for pizza and pizza rolls. I mean, who hasn’t enjoyed a slice on the back patio with friends, watching the kids run around on Craig O’s awesome playground and accidentally drinking a whole bottle of wine…er, uhm, a whole glass of wine. Anyway! What makes Craig O’s a standout is their sauces, doughs, pastas and dressings are made fresh daily in their scratch kitchen. They also offer catering for events and they have some terrific daily specials. And one epic patio, because it’s finally patio weather. Woohoo!

Jersey Giant Pizza

Inspired by their family tradition of passionately operating New Jersey Pizzerias, Jersey Giant Pizza is dedicated to sharing the classic old-world flavor that has made their pizzas incredibly popular throughout history. Fresh ingredients from the dough to the topping, including organic veggies sourced locally. The other key to their delish pizza is the four deck custom crafted brick oven, designed to Jersey’s specifications and capable of cooking fourteen giant pizzas at 650 degrees. Noiccce. Mangeri’s Pizza Cafe

Who remembers when Mangeri’s first opened in Lakeway and we were all like, “Yessss, delicious food and a playscape for the littles? Bonus points!” Mangeri’s has been a top choice for the “best pizza place in Lake Travis” for years. Hello, Capo! And don’t forget the Hot Pig. Oink! Via313 Pizzeria

From Chicago to New Jersey to Detroit! That’s what Via 313 is known for, Detroit-style pizza. What’s the 9-1-1 on the 3-1-3, you ask? This is how Via313 explains it, “Detroit-style pizza is known for its rectangular shape and sauce across the top. Baked in a heavy pan similar to the auto parts trays found in Detroit in the 1940’s, the light, focaccia-like dough develops a golden crunch on the bottom. On top, cheese is spread to the very edge, so you can enjoy every bit… right to your fingertips.” There you have it! And that’s why Via313 is the Cadillac of pizzeria’s in the Lake Travis area.

ZZA Pizza + Salad

When it comes to pizza, ZZA’s motto is “never settle.” They believe you should be able to enjoy delicious meals without making compromises on speed and price. And hey, why not apply that to pizza and salads to that equation. At ZZA, you’ll be treated to the freshest of ingredients, interesting flavor combinations and wonderful customer service. Another little factoid about ZZA is their pizzas are individually sized, 17″ x 7″ ovals. That’s right, friends, ovals! Just when you think you know everything about pizza, here comes a new elongated pizza that does not self-intersect at any point. Geometry for the win! Regardless of the shape, ZZA pizza is a fan favorite here in Lake Travis. From the Sweet Heat to the Garden Greco to the Thai Dye, the food has us all feeling the #sayzza love.

Tony C’s Coal Fired Pizza

It’s a rule you might not know about. You can’t live in Lake Travis without dining at Tony C’s. There, I said it. Also, you have to dine there when you aren’t rushing to the 7:05 Barbie movie, so you can relax and really enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Because pizza is what they do best. Tony C’s has been delighting diners since 1949, when Dominick Ciola opened their first restaurant, Ciola’s, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. (I bet you didn’t know some of the most talented minds hail from Virginia Beach. It’s true. Tony. Me.) Anyway, Tony C’s, third-generation restaurateur, Tony Ciola, features some of his favorite family recipes along with New York Style Pizza prepared in Austin’s original coal fired ovens just like the first pizzerias in America. It’s just one of the many reasons why Tony C’s is the perfect place for your next slice.

When you think of your hometown Italian spot where the food melts in your mouth, the ambiance is inviting and you feel like you’ve been part of the family forever, that’s Carmela’s. What you might not know is Carmela’s actually opened in Dripping Springs in 2011, and then opened a second location in Lakeway in 2021. Anyone from St. Louis in search of toasted rav? Plus, Carmela’s has a great wine selection from renowned winemakers.
