This week’s Helping Hands: A Family Christmas Event was a resounding success! This second annual #GivingTuesday fundraiser was hosted by A Kind Hart Foundation and Covert Cadillac Bee Cave again this year. It brought together the Lake Travis community for a night of festive fun and generous giving. My heart is full!
The gorgeous Cadillac Bee Cave space was transformed into a winter wonderland. Guests were greeted by our helpful elves (AKA Board Members and volunteers) and we all delighted in seeing everyone’s eyes sparkle when they spotted the magnificent balloon decor and the shiny new Cadillac tied with ribbon.
Santa was as comfy as ever in his North Pole nook where lots and lots of children explained their extensive wishes for Christmas gifts. We hope Santa gets a deal on Apple devices! In addition to the wonderful decor, the food was fantastic. From savory to sweet, partygoers got a taste of everything.
Every Single Heart on the Adopted Family Tree Is Filled
Thanks to the incredible generosity of attendees, every single heart on the adopted family tree was taken, ensuring that families in need will have a brighter holiday season. Additionally, the event received numerous online donations, further bolstering the support for Lake Travis Crisis Ministries, an organization that is forever near and dear to my heart.
There are still needs for the holidays and more way to give back to the Lake Travis community. If you’d like to contribute to our adopted family this year, you can find a list of items we need to fill like HEB and gas gift cards. These are “gifts” our family has requested and they will go a long way to making their Christmas brighter, so I encourage you to visit the website and give where you can.

My Journey of Giving Back to the Lake Travis Community
As you may know, I’m a proud resident and realtor in the beautiful Lake Travis area, my hometown. Over the years, I have witnessed the generosity and compassion of our community firsthand. However, I also saw a gap in support for certain needs, particularly for individuals and families facing financial hardship.
Driven by a desire to make a difference, I founded the non-profit organization A Kind Hart Foundation in January 2022. Our mission is simple: to provide financial assistance to those living or working in the Lake Travis area who are struggling to meet their basic needs. Through our website, individuals can apply for assistance, describing their situation and the specific amount they require. Whether it’s helping a student afford new shoes, a teacher facing unexpected hardship, or a family needing food and financial support, my foundation is committed to providing a helping hand.
I believe that A Kind Hart has the potential to be a household name in Lake Travis, a symbol of hope and support for those in need. We want everyone to know that “if there’s a need, they know they can come to us.” I’m incredibly proud of what we have accomplished in such a short time. Together, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of those around us and building a stronger, more resilient community. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.
